I opened my guitar case on Friday afternoon to get ready for our show and there was my camera. Awesome!
I guess I must’ve gotten sick of it being in my pocket the last time we played and thrown it into my guitar case on stage or something. I never would’ve thought to look there, though, so I’m glad we had two shows so close together.
Anyway, I found it. Sweet.

I was in a serious rush today on my lunch break which means I had to eat fast food for the 2nd time this week already.
I stopped by an old favorite in Burger King and noticed something that looked pretty tasty to my starving eyes (although it certainly doesn’t anymore). It was the Loaded Steakhouse Burger and it was nasty.
I was just seconds away from ordering a normal Steakhouse Burger (which I’ve had before and it’s relatively good for the most part), when I noticed that the “Loaded” version has a baked potato topping which sounded delicious. It was not.
I don’t want to go into what this burger tasted like but if you’re interested, this blog has a spot-on review. As always, The Impulsive Buy is also pretty accurate.
Either way, don’t order this burger. Like I said, it’s nasty.

My camera has been missing for about a week now. Looked in the car. Looked in the house. Looked around at work. Not sure where else to look.
Has anybody seen it? Did I leave it at your house? Are you borrowing it? Am I out a couple hundred bucks?
I kept pretty tight wraps on this guy. If it wasn’t in my pocket, I was probably wasn’t wearing pants. Which makes it all the more odd that I can’t find it.
We’ve got another camera, sure. But it’s a DSLR and therefore, it’s much larger than the pocket-sized Coolpix.
Bummer to the max.

Tomorrow, July 1 is the first Unofficial International WordPress Day and it’s about time, too. It’s basically a celebration of the existence of WordPress which is teh awesomifst!!
For those of you who have been interested in starting a blog but aren’t too sure of where to start, I have one (well two sorta) words for you: WordPress. Whether you’re looking for a hands-off approach (WordPress.com) or you’re tech-savy enough to host your own blog using your own domain name (WordPress.org), this is hands-down the best software out there in my opinion. And I’m not just saying this because by doing so, I am automatically entered to win a ton of great prizes.
I currently run about a dozen websites and all of them are powered by WordPress. It’s incredibly easy to use and it’s friggin’ FREE! That’s right, free. Plus, there is a group of heaven-bound developers working all the time to enhance the design, security and efficiency of the software. It seems like every time I turn around, there’s a new update to install and with each one, it just keeps getting better.
If this post seems rushed, that’s only because I know that most of you guys aren’t interested in all the technical jargon that I would normally be spouting off about software, standards and the web in general.
As always, feel free to contact me if you need any help getting your blog started. As most of you know, I’m a little obsessed and therefore, extremely willing to help.

Our new CD, Dirty Lowdown Adventure which came out a few weeks ago on Max Recordings is now available for purchase on iTunes.
If you’re interested in picking it up on iTunes, I would suggest just buying the entire album for $9.99 because it’s 21 songs long and at 99 cents each you couldn’t even get half the songs for that.
We worked on it for over 2 years so we’re pretty excited for it to finally see the light of day.
Click on this sentence to check it out on iTunes now or just search fo “The Good Fear” once you’re there.

For what it’s worth and if anyone’s interested, I’ve come across some good music lately.
I’ve gathered a few songs and created a mix using Muxtape (which rules, by the way) and you can have yourself a listen over at crasymaker.muxtape.com.
Some of this stuff is new and some is a year or two old. Most notably, I’ve been really into Bowerbirds, Matt Mays & El Torpedo and Sam Roberts. The other stuff is great, too.
Grab your headphones or turn up the volume and give it a listen. Enjoy.

This time last year I was just happy that my plants lived through the late freeze.
And now a year later, I am equally as happy that they not only lived through yet another late freeze but that they are doing really, really well.
Check it out…

I took a bunch of photos at the Jonathan and Lacy Haguewood wedding reception last night. It was a blast.
Check out all of the photos via the Haguewood Wedding Reception Flickr set.

I was out of town for the free tree giveaway on the square Saturday morning. I was pretty bummed when I found out that my trip fell on the same day as the Arbor Day Celebration of Trees. However, some friends of mine picked one up and decided they had no room for it in their yard.
Guess who got a free tree afterall? Thanks to Cathy and Tim for my brand new sawtooth oak. I think I’ll call it ‘Crunkles’.

Big show tonight, ya’ll. I know it’s a Sunday so if that’s a problem, no big deal. However, it’s gonna be a good one so keep that in mind.
We’re (The Good Fear) playing with American Princes and Catfish Haven at the Old Post Office building on the square here in Fayetteville. I believe it’s now called The Urban Table or something.
The American Princes are just about to put out a new record and it is simply incredible. There’s a brand new Artist Profile of them which includes an interview and a streaming new track over at The Fayetteville Flyer so check that out and then get pumped. Then come on out tonight.
Thanks to daylight savings, you’re already gonna have a hard time getting up for work tomorrow. Why not make the best of it?

I’m terrible at remembering to post our show dates on my blog. This time I will not let myself down. I remembered. Eat it.
This Friday (Feb 22) we’ll be playing at The White Water Tavern in Little Rock at about 10pm. It’s $5 to get in and we’re playing with a great band called Ghost Company.
We’ve got a couple of shows next month in Fayetteville. One’s with American Princes and Catfish Haven. The other’s with Dr. Dog. More information soon.
March=gonna be fun.

I’ve put up a couple of new Flickr sets.
The first is Camping - Oct 2007 which documents our annual trip to Longpool. Unfortunately, it was also our last trip to Longpool since some jackass (police?) officer kept sneaking up on us and saying something to the effect of “You can’t drink here. It’s illegal and I’ll take you to jail if you don’t stop.” Those weren’t his exact words but that was the overall idea he was trying to convey. To be honest, at the time it sounded more like, “Hey guys. Look at me. I suck. You guys look like you’re having fun. That makes me jealous. I will now ruin your camping trip. Also, I suck.”
The second set is Snowboarding - 2008 which is the fifth snowboarding set and documents the fifth trip I’ve been on in as many years. This year we went to Steamboat Springs, Colorado and it was by far the best trip yet. It snowed 6 inches the first night and 10 the next. Translation: Awesome.
